FAQ:  Mary’s Nutritionals & CBD Tree PRODUCTS

What is hemp? Is it legal?
Hemp does not cause any psychoactive effects, and is legal for licensed farmers to grow. Businesses craft clothing, soaps, nutritional products and even cars and houses out of hemp. Industrial hemp is legal across the United States and most of the world.

What makes our hemp different?
Both CBD Tree & Mary’s Nutritionals industrial hemp-derived products are produced from 100% organic plants grown on Elite Botanicals farm in Loveland, Colorado. The full-spectrum hemp extract used in our products is extracted from flower and not from seeds, which results in higher potency and better quality. A lot of other hemp-derived products sold in the US today are sourced from overseas and do not meet the same standards as we hold ourselves to.

Where is this hemp sourced from? How is it classified?
CBD Tree & Mary’s hemp extract is derived from 100% organic industrial hemp plants grown in full compliance with the Colorado Department of Agriculture’s industrial hemp program. Since these plants contain significantly less than 0.3% THC, they are classified as industrial hemp under federal and state law.

Are these products tested?
All Mary’s Nutritionals processes and products are tested internally with an in-house quality control laboratory overseen by Dr. Jeremy Riggle. Testing is conducted on all raw materials, extracts and final products, which are held to exacting standards of purity and consistency. Mary’s & CBD Tree also work with independent quality control labs for third party validation of the quality of all final products. Test results are always available upon request.

Mary’s Nutritionals:

Since 2015, thousands of people have turned to Mary’s Nutritionals as a trusted resource for relief. Our pioneering products have earned us the highest respect as the most innovative and recognized brand in the nutritional hemp product industry.

What Makes Mary’s Nutritionals Different?

Novel use of plant nutrients – Whole-plant hemp extract is a combination of the most prevalent therapeutic, activated compounds in the hemp plant. Preclinical trials over the past four decades have found that cannabinoids, like those found in hemp extract, show potential to be a natural anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, neuroprotectant, antidepressant, and many other benefits. Bringing modern technology and horticulture together, Mary’s is transforming how people view and utilize hemp by developing products that maximize the benefits of natural plant nutrients and ultimately offer reliable and effective relief.

Clean delivery methods – As the developer of the first transdermal patch enriched with activated hemp extract, patented transdermal gel pen technology and award-winning topicals, Mary’s believes in the effectiveness of clean delivery methods. There’s a wide array of benefits of transdermal and topical applications such as the elimination of smoking, bypassing first-pass metabolism (from oral administration), dose control, continued release, convenience, ease of use and systemic effects.
Transdermal: relating to, being, or supplying a remedy in a form for absorption through the skin into the bloodstream.
Topical: designed for or involving local application and action (as on the body).
The key difference between the two delivery methods is that transdermal refers to the nutrients reaching the bloodstream where it will have a systemic impact, while topical refers to the nutrients acting locally. Transdermal delivery is designed to act on the entire body via application to the skin and topical application is more spot-specific and designed to act in the area of application.
100% organic U.S. grown plants – Mary’s activated hemp extract is sourced from its longstanding partner Elite Botanicals based in Loveland, Colorado.
Elite Botanicals cultivates its industrial hemp plants in strict compliance with Colorado’s Industrial Hemp Act using organic farming principles to ensure clean products free of harmful chemicals, solvents, heavy metals and pesticides unlike hemp materials sourced from overseas.

In-house quality control laboratory – On-site chemists oversee testing of all raw materials, extracts, and final products, which are held to exacting standards of purity and consistency. Paving the way, Mary’s was the first Colorado hemp product manufacturer to acquire in-house Ultra High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC) testing equipment and the staff to support it. Mary’s is obtaining a Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) to expand its in-house testing capabilities, support ongoing research efforts, as well as contribute to the optimization of the current product suite and the development of novel offerings.
